Child Safety Standards

Effective August 1, 2026

Our position

RealOneDating has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. The Service is for adults 18 and older only. Any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or grooms a minor is prohibited absolutely, will result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform, and will be reported to law enforcement.

This standard applies to every part of the Service: profiles, photos, videos, voice notes, messages, usernames, and bios.

What is prohibited

We prohibit, without exception:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor, in any form, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated depictions.
  • Sexualization of minors — any content that presents a minor in a sexualized manner, including suggestive posing, commentary, or emoji-coded references.
  • Grooming — building a relationship with a minor to facilitate sexual contact or exploitation, online or offline, including attempts to move a suspected minor to another platform.
  • Sextortion — threatening to release intimate imagery of a minor for money, further imagery, or any other purpose.
  • Trafficking and solicitation — advertising, recruiting, arranging, or soliciting any commercial sexual act involving a minor.
  • Minor account creation — any attempt by a person under 18 to create or use an account, and any attempt by an adult to help them do so.
  • Distribution or linking — sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAM or to off-platform locations where it can be obtained, including through coded terminology.

What we do about it

Age restriction. The Service is rated 18+ on both stores. We require a date of birth at signup, block accounts declaring an age under 18, apply Google Play's "Restrict Declared Minors" setting, and apply platform age signals where they are available to us.

Detection. Uploaded images are screened against industry hash databases of known CSAM and by classifiers trained to detect apparent minors and sexualized content. Message content is screened for grooming and solicitation patterns.

In-app reporting. Every profile, photo, and conversation includes a Report control with a dedicated "This user may be a minor" and "Child sexual exploitation" category. Reports in these categories are escalated to the front of the review queue.

Response. Reports of suspected CSAE are reviewed on an expedited basis, ahead of our standard 24-hour target. When a report is substantiated we:

  1. Remove the content immediately;
  2. Terminate the account permanently and block the user from re-registering;
  3. Preserve the content and associated account records as evidence;
  4. Report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and cooperate with law enforcement;
  5. Report to other applicable national authorities where the user or victim is located outside the United States.

Accounts we find belong to minors are terminated and their data deleted, whether or not any other violation occurred.

Compliance. We comply with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate, including U.S. federal reporting obligations, and we follow the Tech Coalition's best practices for combating online child sexual exploitation and abuse.
