Community Guidelines
Effective August 1, 2026
RealOneDating works when people are who they say they are and treat each other decently. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service — breaking them can cost you your account.
Be yourself
- Use your real name and recent photos of you. No photos of other people, celebrities, stock images, or heavily manipulated images that misrepresent your appearance.
- Be honest about your age, relationship status, and intentions.
- One account per person. No duplicate or backup accounts.
- You must be 18 or older. No exceptions.
Be decent
- No harassment, threats, intimidation, or stalking — on or off the app.
- No hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or immigration status.
- No unsolicited sexual messages or images. Consent applies to conversations too.
- No sharing private information about another person — including screenshots of conversations, contact details, or intimate images. Sharing intimate images without consent is prohibited and may be a crime.
- Don't retaliate against someone for blocking or reporting you.
Keep it clean
- No nudity or sexually explicit content in profiles, photos, or in-app media.
- No graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- No content promoting terrorism, violent extremism, or mass violence.
- No illegal drugs or weapons sales.
Protecting minors — zero tolerance
Anything that sexualizes a minor, any attempt to groom a minor, and any child sexual abuse material results in immediate permanent removal and a report to law enforcement and NCMEC. Under-18 accounts are terminated on discovery. See our Child Safety Standards.
If you believe a user is under 18, report it immediately: in-app under Report → Child safety, or at childsafety@realonedating.com.
No scams, no soliciting
- Never ask other users for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank details, or investment "opportunities." Romance scams get an immediate permanent ban.
- No commercial activity: no advertising, no recruiting, no promoting other apps or services, no escort or sex work solicitation.
- No human trafficking of any kind.
- No phishing, malware, or links to off-platform sites designed to collect credentials or payment.
Play fair
- No bots, scripts, scrapers, or automation.
- No buying, selling, or sharing accounts.
- No evading a block, suspension, or ban.
- No abusing the report function to harass someone.
Reporting and blocking
Block removes someone from your experience immediately and permanently — they can't see you, message you, or find your profile again.
Report sends the profile or conversation to our safety team. Reports are confidential; we don't tell the reported user who reported them.
We aim to review every report within 24 hours. Reports involving child safety or credible threats of violence are escalated immediately.
You can also report without opening the app: safety@realonedating.com.
What happens when rules are broken
Depending on severity and history, we may:
- Remove the content
- Issue a warning
- Restrict features (for example, limiting messaging)
- Suspend the account temporarily
- Permanently ban the account and block re-registration
Some violations skip straight to a permanent ban with no warning: child sexual exploitation, credible threats of violence, non-consensual intimate imagery, trafficking, and financial scams.
Appeals
If you think we made a mistake, email safety@realonedating.com with your account email and what happened. A person will review it. We generally respond within 5 business days. Decisions involving child safety are not reversed absent clear evidence of error.
