What we require
| Request type | Legal process required (U.S.) |
|---|---|
| Basic subscriber information | Valid subpoena |
| Non-content records (login IPs, timestamps, device info) | Court order under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(d) or a search warrant |
| Content (messages, photos) | Search warrant issued on probable cause |
| Preservation of records pending process | Written preservation request under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f) |
Requests from outside the United States generally need to come through an MLAT, letter rogatory, or another recognized channel, unless the request qualifies under an applicable executive agreement.
Please include: the account identifier (email address, phone number, or profile URL), the specific records sought, the relevant date range, and a return contact. Overbroad requests will be narrowed or declined.
Emergency disclosure
If there is an emergency involving imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, email legal@realonedating.com with "EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST" in the subject line and describe the nature of the emergency, the person at risk, and why the information is needed without delay. We review these immediately and may disclose information voluntarily under 18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8) and (c)(4).
Child safety
Reports of child sexual abuse material are handled separately and on an expedited basis. See our Child Safety Standards — our child safety point of contact is reachable at childsafety@realonedating.com. We submit CyberTipline reports to NCMEC as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and will preserve associated material.
User notice
Our policy is to notify users about legal requests for their information before disclosure, so they can object, unless we are prohibited by law or court order, or unless notice would create a risk of harm to a child or another person, or would risk destruction of evidence. If you need us to delay notice, include the legal basis in your request.
Data availability
We keep what our Privacy Policy says we keep, for the periods stated there. Deleted account data is generally unrecoverable after the retention windows described. Send a preservation request early if you expect to need records.
Costs
We may seek reimbursement for costs of compliance where permitted by law.
